What Can I Drive With a LGV C+E Licence?

The category LGV C+E licence will allow drivers to drive any rigid vehicle (or tractor unit) with a trailer over 750kg (truck and trailer) up to a combined weight of 44 tonnes. Drivers who pass the LGV C+E test will be entitled to drive articulated lorries (artics) towing trailers, or rigid trucks with a drawbar trailer.

What is Driver CPC?

The Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (Driver CPC) is a qualification for professional drivers of lorries over 3.5 tonnes who must usually obtain a Driver CPC in addition to a vocational driving licence to be a paid professional LGV driver.

Passed Car test after Jan 97 – No Trailer Experience (Initial CPC + 40 hours)

40 hours of one to one tuition, VAT, module 1 theory test fees and online module 1 theory training package, DVSA module 3a & 3b practical test fees, plus the mod 2 & 4 initial cpc package = £3,640.00

Passed Car test after Jan 97 – Some Trailer Experience (Initial CPC + 32 hours)

32 hours of one to one tuition, VAT, module 1 theory test fees and online module 1 theory training package, DVSA module 3a & 3b practical test fees, plus the mod 2 & 4 initial cpc package = £3,016.00

Passed Car test after Jan 97 – Very Experienced with Trailers (Initial CPC + 24 hours)

24 hours of one to one tuition, VAT, module 1 theory test fees and online module 1 theory training package, DVSA module 3a & 3b practical test fees, plus the mod 2 & 4 initial cpc package = £2,392.00

 

Passed Car test before Jan 97 & No Trailer Experience (CPC Periodic + 40 hours)

40 hours of one to one tuition, VAT, module 1 theory test fees and online module 1 theory training package, DVSA module 3a & 3b practical test fees, plus 35hrs Periodic DCPC = £3,752.00

Passed Car test before Jan 97 & Some Trailer Experience (CPC Periodic + 32 hours)

32 hours of one to one tuition, VAT, module 1 theory test fees and online module 1 theory training package, DVSA module 3a & 3b practical test fees, plus 35hrs Periodic DCPC = £3,128.00
